In addition to her compassion and affinity for children, Beth brings to her practice a wealth of personal experience and education. Originally from Brazil, Beth is the mother of four daughters – among them a set of twins, –an aunt of fourteen and a proud grandmother. Her knowledge about postpartum support began early with the birth of her first nephew where she learned the importance of supporting new mothers during this exciting and challenging time.
In 2000, after taking a Labor Doula course, Beth started volunteering as a Birth doula for high-risk pregnancies at a public hospital in Fortaleza, Brazil. In the U.S. she felt there was an opportunity to continue the work she had started in Brazil, and ultimately take her expertise to parents' homes. Beth has been trained as a Postpartum Doula by DONA International in the U.S. since 2011.
Beth is a genuinely caring and loving person who is always seeking to promote joy and happiness in new families. Her passion is helping couples thrive in this transition into parenthood or families who are growing. She feels deeply honored to be able to be a part of the family’s life during this special time and does everything in her capacity to be a positive support. Armed with knowledge, compassionate love and care, respect and a big smile, Beth helps families adjust to a new life while making sure that all of the met challenges are turned into good memories.
